What is NEW MEDIA..take two

As we approach the end of the semester, I look back on my initial definition of what I thought New Media was, yet now I believe to have  a much clearer understanding of what New Media really is. New Media is exactly what it means. Simply take for example Media such as was the record player that over the years has evolved into a cassette, a CD-Rom to just a simple download, or the newspaper or magazines, which although still exist are now becoming a thing of the past, with the world wide web becoming more and more popular. New Media is simply a term we use when our current Media evolves, making it "old" media.
It is somewhat complex to explain since no one can actually say what EXACTLY new media is in our present time since there are changes happening everyday. What is "new media" today may just be "old" tomorrow. There is simply no "lasting" definition for New Media, it is a term that will change at the same rate that we bring about that change.

Assignment 2: Wikipedia

An interesting fact about me is that I have been a vegan  for about 4 years now. I primarily chose to this lifestyle for animal rights and their welfare. Since I feel very passionate about this topic, I decided to edit the "Veganism" topic on Wikipedia. So below is the link under ADVOCACY ORGANIZATIONS, 2nd Paragraph where I made a contribution.

A Bit about Myself....Assignment 1

Hello to all, my name is Alicia, I am a Senior here at Brooklyn College. I am 21 years old majoring in Accounting and am very excited to finish school. I decided to take this course because I feel as though we should never stop learning of any one thing especially New Media which is constantly changing how the Business world operates. Soon I will become an Accountant and I would like to work for a big four company oneday, more precisely Deloitte & Touche. That is why I feel that a course like New Media & Business is such a useful course because it has impacted the business world in so many different ways yet it can also impact how sucessful we will be in our professions.




On the side note I am currently employed at Fairweather's Tax Office, I am a tax preparer. I have been working there since I started college in 2006.
